Pro Wrestling Illustrated(职业摔角画报)创办于1979年,该杂志素来以独树一帜而深受欢迎,其它杂志通常会打破角色特点,揭露幕后的事情,而PWI不然,它就像JR播报时那样的融入剧情,把一切都当作生活中真实来看待.不过在近年,该杂志开始采用了在剧情中部分提及现实的社论,例如使用术语"storyline"(剧情)来区分银幕上的不和与现实生活中的争论.

2Dw!t!| dkl PWI不是大联盟专利,任何关于独立联盟的信息都会及时的报道.该杂志会特写摔角手于摔角组织之间的故事.PWI每月会进行大联盟,一些独立联盟及全部选手(单打,双打)的排名.$NbM%d;FU8j

;dBmR2B PWI在成立之初就宣布认可NWA,AWA,WWF的世界冠军腰带的地位.当Jim Crockett Promotions操控了NWA冠军,在91年成变为WCW,WCW赢得了世界冠军的地位,NWA冠军的地位就被降低了.ECW最终在1999年争取到了世界冠军的地位,不过不久ECW就倒闭了.由于TNA的成功,2006年7月PWI重新认可了NWA世界冠军的地位,与 "RAW World Championship" , "SmackDown! World Championship"的地位相等.而复活的ECW冠军仍有待认可.

(n#q+E ~YkfKd PWI杂志的家族成员在1972年提出了每年一度的奖项.表格印刷在年终的特别刊物上,然后由摔迷来投票.不过部分摔角新稳网站对次提出异议,认为奖项胜出者是杂志编辑挑选出来的.PWI Awards magazine每年发行一次,里面列出了各奖项的前三名与票数.胜出的摔角手会得到PWI送出的奖座.Mj%q+xV6]Xc

安东尼.猪木,原名猪木宽至,年幼时移民巴西,力道山去巴西比赛时发现猪木,并将其带回日本,力道山死后创立新日本,与力道山另一爱徒马场正平平分天下,可以说是日本摔角界的北斗泰山级人物兼奠基人,当年和阿里的比赛更是轰动世界,虽然比赛以闹剧收场,不过责任并不在猪木

恩，不管怎么说，PWI 500可以说是整个摔角届公认的相对最权威的了
